Hal Messel trained as a silversmith, learning the traditional Huguenot techniques. It is these skills that he applies to his commissions largely for British and American clients, incorporating cast glass, unique as well as unusual minerals and crystals. Each piece is tailored to each client, telling their story often through flora, fauna and specific symbolism.
