Clare Walsh

Clare is a Textile Designer/Maker and workshop tutor inspired by her love of gardens and the countryside, she creates designs that reflect the seasons and her interest in plants. She enjoys combining different techniques to produce items which are individual, and teaches workshops in block printing, screen printing and sublimation printing throughout Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset.

She works with linen as it is a sustainable fabric which is long lasting and biodegradable and is wonderful to wear or to use for bags and household items.

The three linen dresses created for Fresh Fashion have been made from fine Irish linen, hand printed with designs reflecting Spring and early Summer, cow parsley, lavender and blossom, they are light and easy to wear without fastenings, shaped using the kimono style belt.
