Martha Ellis is inspired by exploring positive and negative space; an ever-growing fascination in reducing complex scenery down to more simplified lines. All Ellis’ pieces start with sketches before cutting her drawings from sheet steel, using a jigsaw, to capture the essence of people as they go about their daily lives.
