Terra Mortis: these pods are a response to the decline of heritage seed varieties due to industrial agriculture. Using the medium of clay, the pieces embody the message of the fragility and importance of our soil and preserving seeds. The textural qualities are enhanced by an aural soundscape which have been recorded on site and the surrounding area. Connections between seeds, soil and the body are formed from the physical textures of the glaze surface and the aural soundscapes.
