Colour is an important part of the piece on display entitled ‘Starry Night’. The dripped application of gloss paint allows it’s liquid properties to flow down the constructed form engendering a relationship with the industrially coloured thermoplastic coating. This gives the sculpture an effervescent vibrant appearance. It shimmers somewhat which adds to the enigmatic feel, appearing and disappearing depending on the nature and subtleties of the prevailing light.
